Can I save the videos?
YES! These videos are yours to keep. Forever. (Another value of taking this class.) You may save them to your computer to watch at your convenience. My only request is that you would honor my work and NOT share them with friends. I hope to add more exciting classes to the site and the only way that is possible is if we all work together to STOP PIRACY. Thank you for your understanding! (NOTE: Depending on your computer system, it may be necessary for your to purchase QuickTime Pro from Apple ($29.99) in order for you to SAVE A COPY of the videos to your computer.)
Will this course be useful for Photoshop Elements?
Though the videos were recorded using CS3 the concepts for using Photoshop's Layers, Masks, Adjustment Layers, Layer Styles, and tools apply to all versions of Photoshop. Though there are some subtle differences between all these versions of Photoshop, THE BASICS, the working foundation, "The Engine" of how the program works and what you need to know are covered in this course and can be applied to these different versions of Photohsop. If you are an ELEMENTS user, and any technique or concept covered in this course doesn't apply directly to your version of Elements, you can email me and I'll show you the workaround!
What if I need help on a topic or have questions? I can just email you?
I believe the most valuable part of the class is that I make myself available to answer your questions about Photoshop for the duration of your course. Personal training is relational. Email is a great tool for communication. I usually can answer your questions the same day you send them, but depending on where you live and the time of day you send your questions will depend on how soon I receive them and can respond. I believe the lessons are extremely self explanatory but it's always comforting to know that if you aren't getting it, or if you're just confused, or simply "stuck" that someone is there to help you through those times. That's what I do - and I will always be there for you, helping and guiding you.
What if I have an image that is just not working for me? I can send it to you?
If you find it helpful, you can always send me an image that's posing problems for you, I can spend a few moments addressing the problems by doing some work to the file, then I'll send you back the LAYERED PSD file for you to open and study. It's a fantastic learning technique.
But please remember that this is not an opportunity for you to send me hundreds of images for me to work on. While I would love to have the time to work on multitudes of pictures, this is primarily a tool for teaching that should be used sparingly after reasonable efforts on your part have been made using the techniques you're learning to retouch your image.

Are there technical requirements for the class? Computer Hardware?
Great question! You will need highspeed access to the internet of some kind. (DSL, Cable, etc.) You will need to be able to preview QuickTime video. If you can see and hear the sample video at the SAMPLE CLASS VIDEO link on this site, then you are all set for class. If not you can GET QUICKTIME FOR FREE at Apple.
Photoshop is expensive. Is there a way to take this class BEFORE I buy Photoshop?
ABOSULUTELY! Adobe offers a FREE TRIAL VERSION of Photoshop CS3 you can use for one month. (The exact length of the course!) So even if you don't own Photoshop now, you can take the class, learn the basics, and KEEP THE VIDEOS so when you do get Photoshop you'll have what you need to start working confidently.
